Course Overview

Our nationally recognised qualification has been designed to give you the necessary skills to lead confidently in your organisation, whether you are new to leadership or have considerable leadership experience. All too often technical experts are elevated to leadership roles without being given the essential training to prepare them in their new role. This program is about being a role model and a leader who is knowledgeable, and can demonstrate high level skill in coaching and mentoring others with confidence.

We draw from the latest research to deliver training that is always in line with the current science around thinking and human behaviour in the areas of:

  • Strengths Based Psychology
  • Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)

This personal and professional development program, focuses on expanding your own self-awareness and coaching style by learning about behavioural and cognitive habits that are played out in our personal and professional environments.

Course Structure

Module 1: Foundations for Positive Change – Utilising the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI).

Units covered:
VU20018 – Adopt a positive and flexible coaching style based on awareness of self and others.
VU20019 – Establish foundations of the coaching relationship.


Module 2: Creative Planning and Prioritising – 
Learn the techniques and methodologies essential to support your clients or teams to plan and prioritise effectively.

Units covered:
VU21399 – Provide leadership in developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring plan

BSBREL402A – Build client relationships and business networks.


Module 3: Values Exploration and Belief Change – 
Develop your skills and ability to explore the complex area of values and beliefs to achieve the most fulfilling coaching outcomes.

Units covered:
VU20023 – Challenge client to transform limiting beliefs and behaviour and align with core values.
BSBLED502A – Manage programs that promote personal effectiveness.


Module 4: The Accomplished Coach – 
Understand and use advanced techniques to challenge and sustain greater commitment and accountability, as well as being able to effectively promote coaching within any work environment. In this module we expand on the previous units and the capacity to demonstrate coaching that aligns with the ICF Core Competencies.


Module 5: Implementing Coaching into the Workplace – 
Utilise the knowledge gained through the previous 4 modules and apply a coaching approach to promote a culture of learning and increased employee engagement within an organisation.

PSPGOV506A – Support workplace coaching and mentoring.
PSPGOV511A – Provide leadership.
PSPGOV516A – Develop and use emotional intelligence.
